The Houston Rockets are an American professional basketball team based in Houston. Throughout its history, Houston has won two NBA championships and four Western Conference titles. The basketball team has a digital presence through website and mobile app.
Houston Rockets fans faced a fragmented digital experience, making it difficult to access game information, tickets, news, and merchandise in one place.
Create an intuitive mobile app that centralizes key fan experiences, improves engagement, and strengthens the Houston Rockets brand through a seamless user experience.

Research was conducted on competitor apps to identify strengths, weaknesses, and usability patterns. The findings helped inform key design decisions and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Most competitors offered live streaming and replay features, but lacked a dedicated, team-focused experience that combines real-time scores, schedules, exclusive content, and fan engagement in a single platform.
I had a good understanding of how users would navigate through the app and what features to include in the wireframe. Through the pages, I could organize the multiple flows that users would take to complete specific tasks.
As Houston Rockets is an existing brand, I decided to keep its logo but created additional items that would be essential for my design system.
Sports supporters can now watch Houston Rockets' live broadcasts and replays, download videos to watch any time of the day, and follow the team scores and upcoming games.
